Another trip to Herbie’s in Clayton as the Spring weather starts to roll in and diners have already found the prime patio seating. We opted to go indoors but cozy up in a booth in the bar to at least enjoy the sunshine. Along the bar you find the makings for a bloody mary bar, and tableside you can enjoy bottomless mimosas, both seemed to be popular on a leisurely Saturday morning with groups of friends scattered throughout.
Our table ordered two types of the Benedicts – Classic and Huevos Benito. If you are a fan of Herbies fries simply ask to switch out the roasted potatoes… but both are great options. I went for the Skillet yet again because it’s hard to beat roasted veggies topped with eggs and cheese in a cast iron skillet. And the little one in our party stuck with the breakfast basics, ordering the Good Morning.
Clayton is now home to a growing list of restaurants opening their doors for Saturday and Sunday brunch, and we couldn’t be happier. Another fun brunch at Herbie’s! We recommend checking it out if it’s a party of 1 or a party of 10. If you do have a group call ahead, they have private rooms in addition to their three dining areas… and don’t forget about the patio!
